We built the firm we wished existed when we were starting out.
Why we started
Most people have been sold to by someone who called it advice. A product that happened to pay well. A plan that looked a lot like the last client's.
We started out in that world, and it didn't take long to know it wasn't for us. So we left and built the firm we'd send our parents to.
That's Momentum: a fiduciary firm where the business model is the client, full stop. Where we pick up the phone. Where there's no product to push because there aren't any products — just planning, honest investment management, and a standing invitation to ask us anything.

Garrett Cottle
Some people are wired to find the one number everybody else glossed over. Garrett is one of them. He handles retirement income modeling, Social Security timing, and anything involving a spreadsheet you didn't want to build yourself. Columbus born and raised, he started Momentum Wealth because he was tired of watching good advice get strangled by bad systems, and figured he could do it better. So far, so good.
He lives in Harris County with his wife, three kids, and one cat who has never operationally contributed anything and sleeps like a man who's earned it. Weekends are for biking trails at Callaway Gardens and foam fingers at Clingstones games.

Matt Hightower
Matt has a knack for making a stranger feel like an old friend before the coffee's even poured, which is usually how the first conversation with Momentum Wealth goes. Behind the easy manner is the person running portfolios, trading, and compliance: the machinery that keeps everything steady and on the right side of the rules. He learned the trade getting licensed at a large bank (which will go politely unnamed), saw exactly how he didn't want to do this work, and set out to build a place that did it right.
Home is the heart of Troup County, where he lives with his family and two dogs roughly the size of small horses. He always knows the best place to eat, and he has never once said no to a plan that ends with sand and an ocean.

MarySara Rojas
If you've ever called the office and felt like someone actually had your back, that was probably MarySara. She's the one who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks — that your paperwork is handled before you thought to ask, and that Matt and Garrett can stay focused on the advice instead of the logistics behind it.
Clients have a habit of mentioning her by name in reviews. Not the advisors — her. That tells you everything you need to know. She runs all of it from upstate New York, where life outside work means two kids, a soft spot for just about any animal, and an ongoing love affair with Spain she'll happily tell you about.

Forward Motion Network
You don't just hire us.
You hire the team we've built around us.
Great financial lives aren't built by one firm alone. You need a tax person who actually picks up when the IRS sends a letter. You need an estate attorney who speaks plain English. You need someone who knows what they're doing when it's time to pick a Medicare supplement.
Most firms tell you to "go find one." We don't. We built the Forward Motion Network — a curated bench of professionals we trust personally, who we can loop in whenever you need them. You don't manage the handoff. We do.

It's one call, one team. You get the full bench without the firm having to be everything to everyone — which, let's be honest, usually means being mediocre at most of it.
A knowledgeable friend who happens to do this for a living.
Plain English, always.
Fiduciary, in writing.
No minimums, no snobbery.
Come see if we're your people.
The first conversation is a 30‑minute call. We ask questions. You ask questions. Nobody pitches.
